What are the Types of Implant Supported Prosthesis?

Emident Oral and Maxillofacial Clinic Dentist Ali Osman Emiroğlu talks about implant supported prosthesis types.

“They are prostheses determined according to the tooth loss of our patients. They are fixed prostheses with 5 or 6 implants in case of complete edentulism in the upper jaw, and prostheses made with 5 or 6 implants in the case of complete edentulism in the lower jaw.”

Dental implant treatment is a titanium screw system used to make prosthesis on tooth deficiencies. Dental implants placed in the jawbone act like a tooth root. In the absence of a tooth, it is possible to complete the missing tooth without touching the adjacent healthy teeth, and it is possible to use fixed dentures instead of removable dentures in multiple tooth deficiencies thanks to dental implants. In cases of complete edentulism, it is possible to fix removable prostheses, which are difficult to use, especially in the lower jaw, and tend to come out of the mouth constantly, by means of implants.
